Rhododendron Royal Court shines at Scholarship Showcase

he 14 members of the 2015 Rhododendron Court
“rocked and rhodied” at the Rhododendron
Scholarship Showcase on May 6.
The Senior Court Princes and Princesses danced to a
medley of classic tunes in a swinging opening number.
Then, the Senior and Junior Princesses danced to “We Go
Together.” The Princes performed the dance number and
snapped, spun and leaped to “Mack the Knife.”
Besides dancing together, the court also presented plat-

At the end of the evening, awards were given out.

The Senior Princesses performed talents that included Joseph Dotson and Courtney King. Junior Princess Alizé
modern dance, ballet, baking cupcakes and reading to Giselle Castellanos won the prize for the most
students. The Senior Princes introduced themselves and Rhododendron Festival commemorative pins sold.
