Not to be forgotten in some landfill, she gathers clocks, nuts, bolts, watches, loose beads, jewelry, and often mixes the old with the new in creating her fresh and imaginative pieces of jewelry. Lassan was raised in the south of France. After moving to Los Angeles in 1978, she founded France Exchange School, a language school that received The Family Choice Award. She and her husband, Allen, came to Florence last year while continuing to create jewelry and painting. Passionate about teaching, she holds French classes in Florence at the Kenneth B Gallery every Tuesday. For information and registra- tion visit www.kennethbgallery .com/#!french-class/c19c.
