While much of the Civil Way took place thousands of miles from the Oregon
Frontier, the issues that divided Oregon’s founding politicians were the same
as those igniting in the East. Breaking Chains author R. Gregory Nokes will be
on hand to discuss the racial and political questions that define the state of
Oregon into the present day.
