Gib’s RV, featuring homes on wheels, will join Cedar Works Spas outside the Florence Events Center. “The addition of Gib’s RV, our home-on-wheels vendor, and the many new vendor products and services along with returning show favorites make this year’s show interesting and unique,” says Thompson. Show hours are Friday, March 6, from 2 to 6 p.m.; Saturday, March 7, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, March 8, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for children age 12 and under. Admission is free from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and half-price coupons are available at Bi-Mart. The Florence Home & Garden Show is sponsored by Three Rivers Casino and Resort, Bi-Mart and Central Lincoln PUD, and is presented by Coast Radio KCST 106.9 FM and Siuslaw News. CYAN MAGENTA The 19th Annual Florence Home and Garden Show, set for March 6 through 8, quickly fi lled all its available vendor space, according to organizers. “We were full by the end of January,” says show director Jon Thompson. “We always get some turnover and that’s good for everyone as it keeps the show fresh and interesting. Vendors that participate in many other shows in the Northwest are a great source of referrals. We’ve been told numerous times that our show is one of the best — even in comparison to much larger venues.” Thompson said local businesses are the highest priority, but bringing in out-of-area vendors with products and services that cannot be found in the Florence area is also critical to its success. Custom wood products, kitchenware, hot tubs, spas, skylights and dozens of vendors featuring products and services for both the home and garden will pack the Florence Events Center, 715 Quince St. Laurel Bay Gardens’ centerpiece landscape design, “Garden of Artful Delight,” will highlight this year’s show. The landscape design will feature local crafted garden art, including sculptures, plants and glass art.
