Animal Lovers’ Art Featured in February Gallery Show

The FEC Gallery Committee is presenting For the Love of
Animals in Gallery One during the month of February. This exhibit
will benefi t the Florence Area Humane Society (FAHS).
Photography, paintings, 3-D art, pastels, scratch board, pen and
ink – a variety of mediums will be on display. The art community of
Florence is happy to have this opportunity to help support the local
animal shelter.
There will be a kick-off reception on January 31 in the gallery
between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Pets available for adoption will be
present for get-acquainted visits. Attendees can bring their pets to be
photographed. There will be refreshments and a raffl e drawing for a
personalized portrait of the winner’s pet painted by local artist Ron
Hildebrand. All proceeds from the pet photo donations as well as the
raffl e will go to the Florence Area Humane Society. People attending
are asked to bring dog or cat food to donate to the shelter.
