Catch the romantic spirit! It’s a swing
dance party in “The Red and White Ballroom
featuring Johnny Martin” – a special Valentine’s
Day celebration.
Included in the evening’s festivities is a
four-course gourmet dinner. Bottles of red and
white wine from Sweet Cheeks Winery will be
featured on each table. Premium seating is $55
per person and general admission is $49.
Johnny Martin is “A singer in the tradition
of Frank Sinatra, an entertainer with the energy
of Louis Prima,” according to reviewers.
As Mr. Martin himself puts it, “I try to
demonstrate, in a relaxed and amusing way,
that jazz can be fun and that love never goes
out of style.”
An affable musician with an unforgettable
voice, Mr. Martin and his band honor the past
performers of radio and stage, with just the
right amount of humor. With blue eyes and bold
emotion, Johnny takes the lyrics of the past and
makes them swing like new! It takes talent and
he’s got it. His reputation hangs on every song.

“From start to fi nish, you can expect elaborate, extravagant
arrangements performed so expertly and effortlessly that they integrate
a comedic playfulness into the show,” says the concert’s co-producer
Steve Dennis. “Attendees will most certainly want to attend the free
pre-concert get-together at 6:15 p.m. I’m pretty sure they’ll carry their
pre-concert interactions, and what they learn about the audience and the
community into their show.”
Concert reviewers say Metales M5 builds their show on a
successful formula of high entertainment combined with extraordinary
virtuosity. They demonstrate an infectious enthusiasm for performing
and impeccable musicianship. Not only does Metales M5 produce a
unique sound but also manages to engage audiences with a sense of
adventure.

Metales M5 Brass plays Friday, February 13, at 7 p.m. at the
Florence Events Center, and will host a pre-concert talk free to the
public at 6:15 p.m.
“What do you get when you mix the shenanigans of the Blues
Brothers with the musical seriousness of the Canadian Brass? Metales
M5! Mexico’s leading brass quintet rarely takes itself seriously. They
perform with real polish and panache – these fi ve musicians are genuine
virtuosos,” writes one online critic.
“These gentlemen have been playing a wide variety of music
around the world without regard to genre,” says SEAcoast president
Ernie Doud. “They seamlessly blend Baroque and contemporary music,
opera and blues, pop, movie soundtracks, and folk music into each
