Mm rill of Sterling, 111., has returr.ed from a trip to Imnaha, Mr. Merrill made the trip to the mining district for the purpose of viewing the route for the telephone line which will I immediately con structed by the Miners Telephone Company from Lew is ton to Ballard landing, with brajveh lines covering the Salmon river aid eastern Oregon country. Mr. Merrill made the triu aloiiR the river and found the condi- tions very fuvorable for the construc tion of tba line.
