From the Tenderfoot. Lee Devore and T. R. Akin enme down from the Tenderfoot mine on the head of Imnaha Friday. A vast amount of development work has leen done on this property, in fact enough to satisfy the stockholders as to its richness and to warrant their installing a mill next spring as soon as the weather permits. Work will be begun early next year on the wagon rond leading from the end of the pres ent road between the Sheep creeks across the divide and down to the mine. The company expect to have the machinery here by the time the road is completed and Wallowa county will have a producing paying mine. Tfie development of our latent mineral wealth had only begun. The next year will see a vast change in the min ing situation. The Chieftain has al ways predicted a rush to the mines along the Imnaha and this prophecy has every prospect of being fulfilled at no uictant date. Sacred Heart Academy LaGrande, Ore.
