The qffics of the Indiai agent of
the Umatilla reservation Tuesday was
abolished by the set-rotary of the in
terior. Chas. E. Wilkins, agent for
the past four yenra, has been appoint
ed bonded superintendent and will
have entire charge and control of the
agency and of the Indian school. Miss
Mollie V. Gaither, superintended of
the Indian school for 'the last 10 years,
hns bee:i appointed assistant superin
tendent under Mr. Wjlk'ms. The sal
ary of Mr. Wilkins s to remain at
$1200 per year and that of Mii
Gaither at If 1000.

Library Nctlce.
The semi annual library dues for
the last half of the year 1902, are now
due, and all members of the Enter
priae Circulating Library Association
are requested to pay the same to Pr.
C. A. Ault, the library treasurer at
once, so that the committee can send
off for new, book's for the fall and win
ter months. :-i
The amount of dues for each is only
25 cents but collectively it makes a
nice little sum to increase the library,
there being over 103 members, so. be
punctual and do not suffer your
names lnpse and be dropped from the
rail oi members.
