THE ABO) E CARTOON, made in honor of his accession to
Tec5 stripes one year ago. ranks among the best by staff artist
TecS Don Lynch. I his artist of considerable experience, whose home
is in Arlington. N. J., came to Adair with the Ft. Dix "cadre.”
among the first to arrive at this Post, in June 1942. His "Artist's
Sketchbook" has been a regular feature of the Sentry.

ALTHOUGH THEODORE, by Sgt. Sansone, is a syndicated
release from Camn Newspaper Service, this cart'on, used exclu­
sively for two years, in a sense 'belongs’ to the Sentry. Originally
the cartoon simply depleted a "dogface." Because of the division
here at the time, the Sentry chose the title "Theodore the Timber
Wolf.” Later Sansone began calling his own creation "The Wolf."
Theme of "The Wolf" cartoons is definitely simple. Its great appeal
seems to lie in the ingenious quirks, with which Sansone imbues
his central character. Theodore has followed the Sergeant through
training camp, to Alaska and to the South Pacific area.
