SCU Noncoms’ first (and last?)
birthday party. Getting all ready

Little did they know it, but the
rough, tough infantrymen of the
276th Infantry have been qualify
ing themselves for the Expert In
fantryman Badge during all the
past weeks of rugged field exer i
cises.
The old fashioned, unimagina
tive, foot-flogging rifleman is a
thing of the past. Rifle and hand
grenades, bozookas and the flame
thrower are weapons that now add
to the infantryman’s protection and
fire power.
A Board of Officials has been set
up to start testing the EM as
they are recommended by their Bn.
Commanders. This means that the
men who have been out there train
ing in the muck and mire and have
kept going when the going was the j
toughest are about to be rewarded. [
