Girls from Albany and Mon- mouth will be on hand to help EM with the dances, and the 882nd FA band, under direction of Cpl. Ferguson, will play for the talent show. The 275th Infantry Regiment will sponsor a party in Service Club 1 next Thursday night. The regimental hand will furnish the music for dancing. Pops Concert Will Be Presented for 40 et 8 Sponsors Sunday's Program Benefit Program A Pops Concert program from the Corvallis USO will be present ed Sunday night at Service Cluh 1 at 6:30 p. m. before the old-time movie, “Songs and Bullets.” A songfest, led by Mrs. Maybeth Starr and accompanied by Mrs. Opal Johnson, who will direct the pro gram, will be held. The Pops Concerts are growing in popularity with USO visitors, and are patterned after Boston Pops, with small tables and refreshments. Headlining the entertainment will be Josephine Albert Spaulding of Dallas, a popular vocalist. Other talent will include piano numbers of Cpl. Lawrence Hahn, in structor at the PSTU; girls' trio from Oregon State college. Pat Best, Jane Stickler and June Walk er; Eileen Powell, vocalist: Irish tenor. Sgt. Joe Mansfield of the ASTP at Oregon State college; songs by Carolyn Wall of Corvallis; and accordion numbers by Beverly Price, also of Corvallis. A dance and entertainment to buy athletic equipment for service men in this area is being sponsored Thursday night at 8 p.m. in the Salem Armory by the 40 et 8 Voi- ture of Capita] Post No. 9. SCU Military Band Schedules Concert Monday at Club The SCU military band will pre sent a variety of concert and mili tary march numbers at a concert Monday at 8 p. m. in Service Club 2. Including 10 selections, the program will be under the direction of Pfc. Robert H. Henry, SCU bandleader. Pvt. Richard Vartanian, cornetist, Pfc. Ray Cattaneo, accordionist, and Pvt.
