MOUNTAINEER BAND IN PORTLAND The Mountaineer Infantry Band, under the direction of Sgt. Howard, were on a special trip to Portland last week end to play for the Me morial Day Parade but the Oregon liquid sunshine spoiled the well laid plans. So the parade was called off, and the Band had to be satisfied to play smooth music for the Memorial Day Dance at the George White Service Center. They really provid ed some smooth music for the crowd and it looks as though more visits will be paid soon. 3 :00 pn Cot Registra-' lion.
