This marks the opening game for the Wildcats, whereas

to all servicemen and their coming to watch this opening
game is desired to get the season started with a bang.

Anti-Tank Moves
Into Leadership
Anti-Tank Co. softball team of
the Timber Wolf Sea Gull Regi
mental League won three contests
during the week’s play to move up
into the first place position, with
four wins and no losses.
Co. .L’s Polivehak lost his first
contest of the season when he bowed
to Co. G and put his team in a
second place tie with Co. D which
won its only game to move up in
the standings.
Sets League Record
Co. M turned in t»n victories
behind the stellar hurling of Kil
patrick who set a new league rec
ord of 16 strikeouts in seven in
nings to move his outfit up to the
fourth place slot.
Co. G proved to be the work
horses of the league, winning two
of the five games it participated in.
Co. C won two games to balance its
play at the 500 mark and Hq. Co.
1st Bn. and Co. E lost their first
contests of the year.
Upsets are frequent as Co. G
found out. After toppling the pre
viously undefeated Co. L squad,
they were in turn defeated by the
at that time tenth place Co. C ten.
