A Harvest ot Health.
Those who use Hostetter's Stomach
Litters as a means of invigoration and
protection against disease, invariably
reap an ample harvest of health. Di
gestion, excretion and secretion are
rendered regular and vigorous by this
ruling tonic and alterative, and the es
sentials of health being secured, that
blessing naturally follows. Nervous
diseases, intermittent and remittent
fevers, rheumatism, biliousness, and
kidney or bladder troubles are speedily
relieved by the Litters, which are as
potent in preventing these maladies as
in remedying them. And it may
almost be said that their power of pre
venting diseases is as strong a recom
mendation in their favor as their power
of curing them, especially in localities
where febrile complaints of an inter
mittent typo prevail, and where the
ordinary resources of the pharmaco
poeia, such as quinine, arsenic, bis
muth, etc., afford no adequate safe
guard. The Litters are also highly desirable
as asubhtitnte for the ordinary nervines
and sedatives. The hydrate of chloral
and the bromide of potassium are both
highly pernicious drugs, the first
clouding the brain and, it is said, weak
ening the tonicity of thoyenous sys
tem ; and the latter ruining the digest ion
and infesting the blood. Hostetter's
Litters achieves the remedial purpose
of both these medicines, which is to
sooth the brain and nerves, without
causing any hurtful after effects, but
on the contrary, toning as well as
soothing the irritated sensorimn. The
nervous invalid who uses this superla
tive vegetable nervine, finds in it a
source of unspeakable relief, and of un
wonted vitality as well.
