That Sections 1. 2, 3, 4 and 5 of
an act entitled " A Act for the pro
tection of Game ana Fish" be amend
ed so as to read as follows:
Swtios 1. That it shall be unlaw
ful for any person or persons here
after to take, kill, inline or offer for
sale, anv Deer, Moose, Elk, Antelope
or Mountain Sheep during the
months of February, March, April,
May, June, July and August of each
Jrear, under a penalty of twenty dol
ars for the first otfelice and double
that sum for eacli silceeding offense,
to be recovered as hereinafter pro
tided. 3
Sec. 2. That Seel In 2 of the aboTe
entitled Act shall liid as follows:
That it shall be ..iilawf ul for any
person or persons hereafter to take,
kill, injure or destroy or offer for
sale any wild swan or duck of the
following species, namely; Mallard
Duck, Summer or .Wood Duck,
' Widgeon Duck, Spr; jtail Dnck, Teal
Duck, Spoonbill or Ulaek ,Dnck,
during the months or April, May,
June and Jnly of each year: Provid
ed that nothing in this and the pro
ceeding Section sUall be construed
so as to prevent person from killing
game tresspassing on their lands.
Sec. 3. That Section 3 of the above
entitled Act bo amended to read as
follows:
That it shall be unlawful for any per
son or persons to take, kill or destroy
any Elk or Deer, at any time, for the
sole purpose of obtaining the horns,
Lido or hams of the ; same, and the
person or persons so offending shall
be fined a sum not less than twenty
dollars for each offense.
Sec. i. That Scltiou 4 of the
above entitled Active amended to
read as follows: l
That it shall be lawful for any
person or persons to take, kill or de
stroy or to offer for sale any Grouse,
Fheasant, Sage Hen or Frario Chick
en, during the months of April, May,
June and July of each year.
Sec. 5. That Section o of said Act
bo so amended as to read as follows:
That it shall bo unlawful for any
person or persons hereafter to take,
kill, injure or desti'oy or offer for
sale any Quail or Partridge during
the months of AprilMay, June, July
nnd August, of each year, and any
person violating any;of the provisions
of Secfo is 2, 4 and" 5, of this Act,
shall be fined five dollars for the
first and double thit sum for each
succeeding offense, jto be recovered
in manner hereinafter provided:
Provided, however, that nothing in
the foregoing Section shall be so con
strued as to prevent any person from
killing deer, moose, elk or mountain
sheep or other game for their own
consumption. Provided, farther,

Section 1. That whenever the
United States desire to acquire title
to land belonging) the State, and
covered by tho nllgable waters of
the United State'nithin tho limits
thereof, for the si of a Light-house
beacon, or other rid to navigation
and application is made by a duly
authorized, agent of the United
States, describing the site required
for one of the purposes aforesaid,
the uovernor oi tue otato is au
thorized and empowered to convey
the title to the United States, and to
cede to the said United States juris
diction over the seme: Provided, No
single track shall contain more than
ten (10) acres, and that the State
shall retain concurrent jurisdiction,
so far that all processes, civil or
criminal, issuing nnder the authori
ty of tho State, may be executed by
?the proper officers thereof, upon any
person, or persons ameniable the
same -within the limits of land so
ceded, in like manner and to like

passed.

Land Warrants can be obtaind for services
rendered before 1S-V), but not for services in
the late war. Pensions for late war and
war of IShJ obtained and increased when
allowed for less than disability warrants,
but no pensions are allowed to Mexican
and Florida war soldiers. State of Texas
has granted pensions to surviving veterans
of Texas Revolution. New Orleans and
Mobile Prize Money is now due and being
paid. V. H. Aiken also attends to General
