covered that the statement made by the

every particular. The result proved ihit
some old rags. oily, and greasy, used in tr.e
mill and hd igni'ed by spontaneous com
bustion. This ta ft is conclusive, as no
tire was used in the building, waier-power
being used lo woik the machinery, and
here was only ihis way 10 account for
the origin ol ihe flames. Suni-hiiie will,
it h is iilso been proved, set fire in similar
rags if exposed to the lays. Very lew
people are aware of the danger arising
