delegate by the Weston congregation
to the United Brethren conference, in
session this week at Elberton, Wash.

Elder John Bonewlls has had a
"real fine visit" on the coast of Coos
county, after attending the confer
ence of the Church of the Brethren
at Ashland. lie also had great sport
in hunting and dotting, and the Lead-t-r
man is elated over the promise of
a slice of venison.
Albert I'rocbstel came up thia
week from Portland,' where he has a
position with the United States
Shipping Board. It was his first !
visit to the old town for about eight
years. Accompanied by his sister,
Mrs. Lillian Fredericks, he is at
tending the Pendleton Round Up.
Sunday he leaves for Hot Lake to
visit his father, who is a sanatarium
patient there.
Ralph Tucker is among the Wes
ton farmers who are well pleased
over this season's operations, his
crop having exceeded expectations by
three or four hundred sacks. His
wheat yield ran from 40 to 45 bush
els per acre. Together with R. G.
Blomgrrn, Ralph has been operating
a Racine thresher in the foothills
with good success. An excellent
crop is also being had from the Blom
gren farm, where threshing will
likely be finished this week.
