Proebstcl Sr. and Mrs. Lilian Fredericks were pas sengers Sunday for Hot Lake, where Mr. Proebstel will receive medical attention at the sanitarium. Mrs. Susan Tucker returned Sun day from a two weeks' visit with relatives in Walla Walla. Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Price, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Price and daughter Catherine are among the late arriv als at Camp McDougal. Charles and Claude will see what they can do toward bringing a little deer meat into camp. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Goodwin left Tuesday morning for a week's sojourn in Portland. Mrs. Goodwin will attend the annual conference of the Pacific Northwest Library asso ciation to be held in the metropolis September 2, 3 and 4. Miss Hazel Duncan returned Mon day from her visit, at Baker. Miss Duncan will leave soon for Cove to begin her teaching duties there. The bright, warm weather follow ing the unusually copious rains that ushered out the month of August has proven a boon to the farmers with grain as yet uncut. They are losing no time now in getting their crops in the sack.
