' HALF BILLION SAVED ON AIRCRAFT BILL Half a billion dollars was saved by the War Department up to April 1st by cancellation of aircraft contracts. These contracts, according to the gov ernment statement, are only a small part of the saving which has been made by abandonment of contracts for war material.
