national purpose, an honor Am and honor roll ayatem haa been adopted by
in Treasury Department for the Third Liberty Loan.
Thia ayatem la outlined by the Department aa follows:
1. A specially designed honor flag, officially adopted aa the Third Liberty
' Loan flag, will be awarded to all communities upon their attainment of their
assigned quota.
X. A small Individual poster, containing a reproduction of the honor flag
and a blank tor the name of the subscriber, will be awarded to each subscriber
for display In his home.
S. A large honor roll, containing at the top a reproduction of the honor
flag and the slogan, "Help Our Town Win the Right to Kly This Flag." and
below apace tor tha names of all subscribers, will be posted in a conspicuous
place la tha community.
4. A large honor flag will be awarded to each state upon the attainment
of its quota, the state flag to contain the names of those subordinate groups
- which bare attained their quotas.
I. A national honor flag will be unfurled at Washington oa which will
be presented the returns from all the states.

April Snow and Frost
The Weston country was April
fooled last Monday with a snow
storm, followed by frosty nights.
No damage resulted in this vicinity,
and the snow was welcomed by the
farmers, as the ground was get
ting dry. , ; - - ,. 1 " .

day from the Lamb Fruit company
of Milton says that the entire apri
cot and peach crop is killed in the
Walla Walla valley and that cher
ries are damaged. Even the late
peaches were killed. Prunes and
BDDles were not injured.
Walla . Walla reports tht lowest
minimum temperature on the night
of April 2d, ever recorded there
on that date since the 5 weather bu
reau was established 33 years ago.
