The Weston band gave a delight f ul concert at the oera house Fi i day evening, and showed remark) ble progress after less than a yesr of practice by playing a grade of music that an niatcur band ordit arily requires several years of hard work to handle with any degree of success. In full uniform and with the stage prettily decorated and illuminated, the band presented a handsome appearance. One num. ber which met with especial favor was the "Westonian waltz," com, posed by the director, A. W. Lun dell, who holds 8 college degree in music. The band will give a scries of similar concerts during the win ter, preserving a new program on each occasion.
