an operation on Monday afternoon at
Seiwood hospital. Mr. I .andon has
been a sufferer for a long time from a
wound in the lower part of hie leg and

it impossible to endure it any longer so
he decided on amputation. Dr. W.C.
Belt of Hooper, Wash., was consulted,
having beeu acquainted with the
patient (or many years, and the result
was the operation.
It is a little early vet to say what
will lie the result of the undertaking
but at last report Mr. Landon stood
good chances of a speedy recovery.
