Although Lents was much lighter than McLoughlin, their goal was at no time in flanger. In the third quarter I .ent» got the only score of the game by a place kick, after they had forced the visitors to their £0 yard line. In the fourth quarter both teams fought hard, but neither was able to score. Lente is now tied with the league lead er and baa a good chance to win the cup. Next Sunday they play Albina, the leader, on the Albina flats. Lxmts defeated the Mohawk* Dec. 1 on the local grounds by the score of 13 to f>. The game did not look very good for Lenta in the first and second quar ters when the heavy Mohawks dri ve Lents within two yards of tbeir goal in the first quarter, and made a touch down in the second. In the third quarter Leots came back nard and drove the Mohawks back to their ten yard line. Sargent Gething, the Lents cen ter, then carried the ball over for a touch down by the hidden ball trick which completely fooled the visitors al so scored for Lente in the third quarter wben he broke though the Mohawk line and blocker] a punt. In the fourth quarter neither side scored. Stevens, the Lente half, started throughout the game, often breaking up the Mohawk plays. The school team defeated Clinton Kelly Wednesday, the 27th., by a score of 19 to 0. The game was a easy victory for Lente, Tbeir goal was at no time in danger daring the game. Steven stared for Lents and was also the chief yard gainer. The game Thursday, the 28th, with Arleta was much harder although Lents won by the score of 12 to 7 they had to tight from start to finish. Arleta score came in the first quarter when they got the ball by a fumble on Lents 15 yard line. Moat of the playing was done in the center of the field except when Lente made touch downs in the second and third quarters. Foils A Foul Plot.
