The case was that of a forewoman in
a Seattle box factory who had worked

Boston.—The great Lawrence strike
which brought in its train increased
wages for 275,000 textile workers in
New England, was officially declared
off at all the mills in Lawrence, hav­
ing accomplished its purpose, in the
opinion of the leaders.

fered a reward of $1000 for the cap-
turo of John Tornow. the wild hermit,
who la supposed to have murdered the
Bauer twin boys, bls nephews, and
Daputy Sheriffs A. V. Elmer and Colin
McKenzie, of Chehalis county. Tor­
now is hiding in the wilderness of the
Olympic peninsula.
