Hammocks ALL the Arabian co ties* ^o«‘s under the name of Mocha, though none grown WHAT nearer than 1(M) miles from that town, which is situated to the north of Strait of Bab el Mandeb. That district supplies Turkey and Egypt, and through them its IS product makes its way into some other markets. Curiously enough, the Mocha bought ut Cairo or Alexandria is invariably better than that bought at Mocha it MOCHA? self. The reason is very simple. The Turkish anil Egyptian traders go to Ara bia before the harvest and buy the crop on the tree. They make sure that it is not picked before it is perfectly ripe, and they attend to its preparation themselves Thus the coffee that reaches the Mocha market is only what these merchants thought too poor to buy. Until the introduction of the Pure Food laiw most coffees in this country were sold under the name of Mocha and Java. The enforcement of this law develo|*ed the fact, that indeed a very small quantity of Java and a still smaller quantity of Mocha ever reached the |»eople that thought they were always getting Mocha and Java. There are other high-grade coffees grown in different |>arts of the world which compare very favorably to the genuine Mocha. The Government, in its statistical report, issued by the Department of Commerce and Labor, calls especial attention to the superior quality of Triunfo Coffee. This is a coffee grown in the Tumbla range of the Sierra Matire Mountains, lying at the southern extremity of the Republic of Mexico on the kiorder of Gautenuda at an elevation of about ZIOOO feet. The Triunfo Plantation is of a superior quality and grades among the beat grown in any country. This plantation is owned by the German-American Coffee Co., who art* marketing their produce throughout the United States. The Triunfo Brand is their l»est grade and retails at 40 cents per pound, sealed packages, and is now sold by Lewis Shattuck. Come to our store and let us tell you more of these coffees and of other high-grade coffees. Do not be deceived by unscrupulous peddlers who tell you that they are selling you Mocha and Java coffee at from 25 to 35 cents, as it cannot be bought in the green state at twice that price.
