suihlen death of Louis Young of Trout­
dale. While the very Iwid weather tins
prevented our meeting anyone from
whom we might learn particulars, we
understand tlmt typhoid pneumonia
caused hi« illnese. It was additionally
unfortunate that the illness should oc­
cur at this time when friend« and rela­
tives were largely prevented from meet­
ing him or attending the funeral.
Louis was well known at Troutdale
and at Latonrell, where he had lived all
Ilia life. He WM a hearty young man,
of Hue disposition, gm«l habits and ex­
cellent intentions. He was generally
liked by his many friends and relatives
and it is with the deepest regret that
we announce the eml of what seemed
would lie a very useful life. The writer
was well acquainted with Louis ami so

many highly commendable traits in the
