Gresham Juvenile Grange held a very interesting session January 26. Out of 35 members enrolled 26 were present, the following officers were installed: Master, Helen Hoss; Overseer, Bessie Howitt; Lecturer, Will* Metzger; Sec retary, Jennie Metzger; Treasurer, Viola Dinger; Gatekeeper. Miss Waldo, the organizer, was present and was much pleased with the interest shown by the children in their work. She gave them many words of encouragement. Hal lo, state lecturer, began a lecturing tour of W asco county in the Hood River valley, continuing in that ]«art of the county one week. Then she went to Boyd, Dufur. Wamic and other points in that county. She is being assisted by J. A oorbees. of Woodburn, who expect* to organize several grange* in that territory. A grange has been organized at Moore* Valley, Yamhill county with 31 charter member* by the county deputy of that county. Austin G. Buxton, state master, is inspecting the granges of Linn county, leaving home January 30. He will finish that covntv next week, when he will arrange a sc hedule for Multnomah county. The granges reached by the 0. W. P. ear line in Multnomah and Clackamas counties will probably be visited in a continuous schedule. As soon as Multnomah county is inspected Clackamas county will be inspected by Mr. Buxton. State Deputy F. M. Gill is inspecting the granges of Washington county, having I egun at Forest Grove, February 2d. Ha completes bis tour at Scholl*, February 19th. On February 20th, he goes to Lane county to assist the granges there, his time there extending to March 9th at least. There are now 99 granges in the state wiih a membership of 6000.
