useful rule»:
To find the amount of cream pro-
ducial for loo pounda milk when the
per cent of fat In milk and in cream Ii
known, divide the ¡H-r cent of fat In

and multiply the result by 100. Ex
ample—How many ponuds of cream
containing 25 p *r eei-.t fat are pr xluced
from 100 pounds milk containing 5 per
cent fat? Five «livhled by 23 equals
0.2; 0.2 multiplied by 100 <s;uals 2>>. the
nurnl>er of pounds of cream with 25 per
cent fat.
To find the amount of skim milk for
100 pounds milk wb<*n the jier cent of
fat in milk and in cream Is known. And
the amount of cream by the rule given
above and then subtract this from 100.
Example—How much skim milk is pro
dneed from loo [«omuls milk containing
4 per cent fat when the cream contains
23 per cent fat? Four divided by 25
equals O.10; 0.10 multlpli«*«l by loo

An old lialter can be used to good
advantage. First drive the spikes In
the nose piece as desired; then sew or
rivet a piece of leather over the heads
of the nails.
