meeting was a pleasant one.

Smoker After Lectures.
In order to give the men who
come to bear the lectures of the
experts on farming and dairying a
chance to come into more intimate
association with the lecturers, and
exchange ideas, an informal smoker
has been arranged by the business
men of Heppner, and all who are
interested are invited to attend im
mediately after tjie lecture at the
opera bouse in the evening.
This smoker will be entirely in
formal and farmers will have the
opportunity of meetiog the lect
urers personally and of discussing
with them matters of interest ap
pertaining to their business.

ries grew in Mr. Cummings' nur
sery in this city. He will exhibit
