Mrs. E. A. Fleet who has been visit
ing Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fleet, of this
city, was a passenger Tuesday morning
for her home at Mobne, Illinois.
Mr. and Mrs. W. II. Piatt, of Pvr,
laho, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. F.
C. Marqnardsen. With Mrs. Marquard
sen and Miss Piatt thev left veste'day
for an outing trip in tire mountains.
Geo. Perry and Percy Hughes brought
in C3 bead of cows with calves lust Sun
day. The calves were shipped to Port
land for veal and the cows were sold to
Curt Rhea. Mr. Rhea will feed the
cows for beef.
At the M.'E. church couth. Fev. J. D.
Lewellan, P. E.. will preach next Sun
day evening at 8 o'clock, this being the
occasion of the 4th and last fquartetlv
conference for the year, all members
are requested to attend.
Joe Jackson, of Long Creek, who
recently took a shipment ot sheep to
the Willamette valley, came up from
Canby, Moiday. He states that be
found it bard work to dispose of bis
stock, and has placed 500 head on past
ure in th rnounta'ns. Some of the
sheep will be dressed and sold to Port
land butchers.
