High School.
The young people did thtmeelvee
proud and the people of Heppner are
well satififlftd.
The two plT gireo by the High
School, Urtl Friday and Monday een
ingt were successful in every particular,
Friday evening 'A Cass ot Suspen
sion" waa rendered to a good bouse ard
well received. This play was a one act
comedy, but had a great deal of mem
orizing for the participants. The char
acters were well sustained, if not better
than the following play, however it was
lighter.
"The Rio Grande" good home tal
ent play was well produoed and the
characters were exceptionally strong.
They all bad their lines perfect, and
credit is doe every one taking part.
A little of the stiffness will no oubt
be removed on the next presentation
which wi 1 be at lone tomorrow evening
and we can recommend to be good
people that little city that they are to
receive a rare treat at the hands of the
High School
Geo. Perry, of Loue Rock is in
the city.
Miss Grace Tjllard, of The Pallets
attended the Birgfeld concert in
this city last Friday evening.
Wm. Huston, a former resident
of Heppner, who now resides in
Portland, has purchased the Ham
Uurchell place near Lexington
and will agaiu make Morrow coun
ty his home.
