Sam Cochran and daughter, Miss

Armstrong came over from Monu
ment yesterday and left this morn
ing for La Grande to attend to
some land business.
The Royal Neighbors of America
will give a social on Thursday even
ing, April 16, iu the I. O. O. F. hall.

sist of music, recitation?, five hun
dred and piffo. Admission, 10
cents, including refreshments.
Ed Patterson, of Bristol, Ver
mont, visited his brother, Dan Pat
terson, and nephew, Ed Patterson,
during the past week. The two
brothers left yesterday morning for
La Grande. This was their first
meeting for 43 years and the re
union was a happy one.
Osman Shaner and C. L. Keith
ley have been appointed as addi
tional rangers in the Blue Moun
tain National forest. This will
make four rangers on this side and
two on the other side of the John !
