Mr. and Mrs. Louia Bisbee re
turned Thursday last from their
wedding trip to Portland. They
were welcomed by a number of
friends at the depot and brought
up in town-in a carriage that had
been especially prepared for the
occasion. The rig held together
and with the music of bells that
were part of the decorations the
return of the popular young people
was attended with much amuse
ment and hilarity. Bis was re
membered afterward with a good
old fashioned charivari.

James Knlghten Suffers Heavy Loss

Burglars have been busy in
Morrow county during the past
week.
vThe operations have extended
from'Eight Mile to Hardman.
Some time last Friday thieves
entered the residence of James
Knighten and took $144
Tbe poetoffice at Eight Mile was
also entered but the burglar did
not take anything.
Last Sunday night some one
broke into Wm. Lowen's saloon
at Hardman. Two bottles of
whiskey were taken. The cash
register which contained money
was not Jtouched.
On the same night Bert Bawk
er's placa of business was bur
glarized. ome tobacco and
canned goods were taken.
As yet the officers have no clue
to the thieves.J

the annual meeting of the wool growers
of Morrc w county should be changed

feature of the evening. Mrs.
Frank Roberts was winner of ita

ly carried away the booby trophy.
After the five hundred gsxnea
light refreshments were served,
and following the serving of the
refreshments a novel and aransirg
feature was the "pinning of tbe tail
on the donk(y."
The donkey was painted on ran
vass and stood agaiost the is-all.
The participants were blindioMed
and the desired object was to pin
the tail in the right place. Th5s
caused a great amount of fun.

prize. Mrs. Phill Cohn was grrea
the booby prize.
