The Lexington ba-ket ball team

evening. The game will be called
at 9 o'clock, owing to th fact it
being Saturday night and this will
enable the merchants aud clerks to
atten 1. This promises to be an
excellent game, as the two former
games resulted in a tie. Turn out
and see a good, clean, sporty game.
H. E. Warren, formerly of Hepp
ner , who owns a big ranch near
Spray, has just finished a new irri
gating plant. The plarit consists
of a 10 hoi se power gasoline en
gine which pumps water from the
John Day River into a flume which
carries the water to a ditch which
supplies the land. Mr. Warren
has 70 aores of rich bottom land
which will be pat under water
when the proper time comes. The
irrigating plant was tested last
week and the results were very
satisfactory.

Mr. and Mrs. Walton are two very
pogular young people of Heppner and
have many friends here.
Mr. Walton recently purchased the

owned bv J. J. Wells, where Mr. and
Mrs. Walton are now at hoaie to their
