Last Sun-lay the Heppner baseball
nine and a number of friends went to
Lexington to teat their ahi'itiea on the
diamond.

players were in position and ready for
business at the appointed time. Both
sides were confident of winning and
the game was hotly contested from atart
to finish. Both sides played good ball
considering the practice they have had.
The home team received fine treat
ment and have only kinds words to
speak for our staler town.
There will probably be a return tame
played in Heppner next Sunday.
