Pure Blood
Because the health of every organ and
tissue of the body depends upon the
purtty of the blood. The whole world
knows the standard blood purifier Is
Hood's

And therefore it is the only true and
reliable medicine for nervoua people.
It makes the blood pure and healthy,
and thus cures nervousness, makes
the nerves firm and strong, gives sweet
sleep, mental vigor, a good appetite,
perfect digestion. It does all this, and

Banker Sentenced. Riohard Banker,
the man who successfully swindled the
A. 0. U. W. out of about $2000 by
feigning death, pleaded guilty to the
charge in the criminal court in Portland

years' imprisonment in the penitentiary.
The commitment of Banker was deferred
by order of the court until later, when
the case against Mrs. Bunker and Harry
Hunter, accomplices to tbe swindle, are
settled.
You need a blood-purifier. We make
this assertion with confidence, because
it is a faot that there is soaroely one
person in ten thousand whose blood is
free from humors, scrofula, aoids, or
some taint, eitber hereditary or ac
quired. Pimples, blotches, eruptions
are not the only judications. D bility,
lack of energy, depression of spirits, loss
of appetite, rheumatic pain, poor sleep,
headache, dizziness, specks floating
before tbe eyes, and mBny other symp
toms plainly indicate the need of a
thorough oleansiug of the blond. The
longer you delay, the more difficult will
be the onre. The medioine to take is
Ayer's Sarsaparilla, and the time to
begin is now. Continue to take it
through March, April and May, or until
you feel that health and strength are
fully restored, whioh will be when al!
those painful ami troublesome symptoms
are entirely removed. The young, the
old, the middle-aged rlike need the
potent but benign influence of Ayer's
Sarsaparilla, tbe best of blood mediciues.
To Bottlers. A very important aot
to settlers on public lauds has reoently
reoeived tbe signature of tbe president.
It amends section 1, of the aot ot March
2, 1889, by adding thereto tbe following
provision: "that if any aucb settler has
heretofore forfeited his or her entry for
any of said reasons, suoh person will be
permitted to make entry of not to exoeed
a quarter seotion of any public laud
subject to the homestead law, and to
perfect title to the same, under tbe
same conditions in every respect as if he
had not mnde the former entry." This
law will help many a worthy man to a
homestead who has heretofore been de
barred therefrom.
