The Polk county tea ch e rs’ institu te was in session in Monmouth Saturday when 110 teachers from the 64 schools of the county assem bled in the auditor­ ium of the high school building here and discussed m ethods for the im prove­ m ents of schools in this section of the valley. The first assem bly was called a t 9 o ’clock and lasted untd noon, and the second was held in the early p a rt of the afternoon.
