BEGINS SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 23,1912
The sale is preparatory to the opening o f our business, to the future home o f the Polk County Mercan­
tile Company.
W e will occupy the large store-room o f the Hotel Gail Annex, known as the Thompson
Block.
Our new store, as soon as the sale is over, will be fitted up in the most modern way.
We hold
a 5-year lease on the building.
We have come to stay.
W e propose to allow the public to purchase, from this $30,000 stock, just $10,000 worth o f goods, at
from 25 to 50 cents on the Dollar, making a reduction in all cases o f 50 cents on the Dollar, and in many
cases a reduction o f 75 cents on the Dollar, and when we have sold this amount the sale will be closed and
the price advanced to the usual mark.
Saturday W e Inaugaurate
a sweeping price slaughter, such as Polk County has never had before, and will never have again, o f our im­
mense stock o f the finest quality o f Merchandise that was ever placed on sale to the public at such ridiculous
low prices.
Our Entire Stock o f Ladies’ and Children’s Millinery Goods, Fine Tailored Suits, Coats, Raincoats, Cravenettes, Dresses,
Waists, Petticoats, Hosiery, Corsets, Handkerchiefs, Underwear, Hats, Hat Trimmings, Flowers, Plumes, Umbrellas, Leather Goods,
Veiling, Rain Capes, Parasols, Kimonas, Bath Robes, Sweaters, Jewelry, Notions and Holiday Goods, Kid and Silk Gloves, Mittens and
Thousands of Articles, that we cannot mention on account o f space, will be thrown on the market, without regard
to profit or cost, enabling the wearers o f fine apparel to supply their needs and wants at a small cost.
W e have over bought in the above line o f goods and we are compelled to make this great sacrifice sale
in prices.
