This sale o f property will in no wise change our pres ent relation either to the hold ings o f the Academy or to Dallas College. The moneys secured from the sale o f the property will become a permanent endow ment for the maintenance o f La- Creole Academic Institute. Our only purpose in the change is to co-operate with Dallas College and thus secure more effectual work as well as the fissured per manence o f the Academy. I f we cannot by means o f this sale co operate with the College, their present plans for enlargement will be defeated, and their ulti mate removal from our city will become a probability i f not a cer tainty. In this event we would be called upon to maintain the Academy against almost impossi ble odds, or permit the benefac tions o f three o f our noble pio neers, together with the wo-k o f decades, to be lost in the closing o f this historic institution.
