New J. I. Case Disc Harrow
FURSiHIDES
Installment
Plan
5, 10, 15 Acre Tracts
The latest, newest and best thing in the disc harrow line. Sure to please the most critical.
The Slicer Scrapers are a new feature. Notice the illustration above. By a motion of his foot the
operator causes the scrapers to move back and forth, slicing the dirt from the discs, thus keeping them per
fectly clean.
The Frame is horseshoe in shape, and made of angle and flat steele; Is very light and exceeding strong.
The harrow is very light, but is so braced that it is very strong and durable.
The Bearings are a great feature in the case. Two chilled rings which take the wear are fitted in each.
Bear in miud that these rings take the wear and that they are chilled. When, after long use, they become
worn, they can be easily removed and replaced by new ones, which cost but little,
The Spools between discs are strong, and one end is larger, and cup-shaped to fit the curved side of
the disc, thus making a large bearing and so supjjorting the disc that there is no danger o f its working loose
on the shaft.
The Bumpers are very large, and overcome completely the end or side thrust. They form complete
support, the pressure on one gang being concentrated by the pressure on the other.
The Frame is Flexible, thus each section operates independently of the other. I f one end of sec
tion raises over an obstruction, the other end remains at work, and the companion section not disturbed.
The Stop at rear end of pole is made of steel, and is so constructed that center discs can be adjusted to
to work as desired. Double Levers only are used.
