On motion of Councilman Coad a ce ment walk was ordered laid on the west side of Main street, adjoining the D. C. This would make all walks on that block of cement, the other proper ty owners having announced their in tention of at once building such. A bid of 21l* cents a running foot was received from Roy VVassom for the lay ing of certain side walks advertised last week. Consideration of the bid was laid over until next regular meeting. The council chamber was well filled with interested parties to see opened and read the bids for the new sewerage system. A number of bidders have been looking over the ground for the last few days, and they were there in force last night to see w hich one of their number was successful in landing the plum.
