Nominations Closed Last Tuesday
Evening.
Last Tuesday evening the nomina
tions closed for the election of three city
councilmen at the election to take place
in the three city wards next Monday.
This is the off year in city politics, as
only three new councilmen to be elect
ed. These were all nominated by peti
tion, no conventions being held. The
first and second ward have contests on,
hut in tiie third there is only one nomi
nee. Those nominated are:
First ward— Ralph Adams, Abel Ug-
low, II. Boals.
Second ward— J. L. Brown, G. W.
Myer.
Third ward— Frank Kerslake.
Tin polling place for the first ward
will be at Sweeney Bros.’ mill office,
the Second ward at the council chamber,
and the third ward at H. L. C rider’s
