The West Shore is an improvement up
on its predecessors and a pleasant sur

the publisher’s watchword and perfection
his aim. With its January number the
journal enters itsteath year, aud will then
appear in an entirely new d ies» of type, be
generally remodeled and have eight pa
ges added to its present size. More atten
tion will be paid to general literature than
form erly, and its a r is tic features will also
be im proved. The improvement will make
it almost indispensable to every family in
the Northwest. The Daily Oregonian of
November 27th, speaks of it as follow s;
