One year ago, in February hut, he burglarized the house of Mr. J. K. Foster, near Turner, but got nothing in value. He was arrested, bound over, and sent to jail to await the action of the grand jury, but soon after broke jail and escaped. Early in May last ho turned up again at his old tricks. He broke into the house of Dr. Matieson, two miles northeast of Aums- | ville, getting a revolver and a watch.
