E very b o d y I 'o r d iu .lv lu v M e il. At a mass meeting held at the Court House in Dallas, on last Tuesday week, a committee of arrangements on celebration, consisting of W. S. Elkins, G. W. Crystal, Nat Holman, M. M. Ellis and B. M. Smith were appointed. At a subsequent meeting, held ou last Monday, the com mittee reported favorable, and a com mittee consisting of J. 1). Lee, J. J. W il liams and Ed. Delashmutt was chosen to solicit subscriptions to defray expenses of celebration. The arranging of a progrm- nie was detered until the iiuance commit tee could canvas the town and ascertain what amount could be raised. The committee of arrangements have, however, decided upon a splendid pro gramme of exercises, and the Dallas Brass Band have been engaged for the occasion. Other Bands will be confered with in view of securing their services. Efforts are being made and will no doubt be suc cessful, to secure as good an orator as the State affords to deliver tho oration. The purpose of the committee is to make this a celebration for the citizens of TIIE EN TIRE COUNTY and as many others as may come. They desire the co-operation of EVERY PRECINCT in the county. No pains will be spared to make it the best affair of the kind ever hold in this section. As soon as the programme is perfected bills and posters will bo sent to every part o f the county and elsewhere. MINOR MENTION. Iii Brief. Wo understand that Dallas is to have a tailor shop.
