The latest and most successful treat
ment for this dreaded disease has lately
come to our knowledge, and having in
terviewed the man who says his life was
saved by the new treatment we feel confi
dent it is our duty to give the facts to our
readers, that they may investigate for
themselves. The circumstances are as
follows: Amedo Chartier, of West Farn-
ham, P. Q., recently had diphtheria; be
became so bad off after a relapse that all
hopes of his recovery was abandoned by
his physicians aud friends, and as a last
resort a brother of the patieut said that he
bad a bottle of Kendall’s Spavin Care and
wished to try it. He applied it to the
neck, and then reduced a little, and the
patieut After some difficulty succeeded in
gargling it in the throat. He soon noticed
some improvement, and by continuing its
use a complete cure was effected, and now
he says he knows it saved his life. The
abovo remarkable experience led us to in
vestigate farther, and we found that Ken
