The members of theSluttz Dramatic
company, who wcie injured by the up
setting ol a stage on theSiskiyoti moun
tains, are housed in a tumbledown cabin
near the summit of the. mountains,
about twelve miles south of Ashland.
The cabin was occupied by a poor
family, who genoiouly surrendered it
to the wounded strangers. It contained
only one bed and few of the necessaries
of life. For a person in good health
the situation of sleeping on the lloor
with only enough to eat to sustain life,
is had enough, hut for people serious
ly injured, two of (hem beleived to be
(lying, the situation is pitiful, and calls
for sympathy. Little Ivy Stutlz and
Jasper Cunningham, the driver, were
injured internally, and word onnio to
Ashland Sunday that Cunningham was
not expected to live through the night.
The child is in great pain. Her father,
when he saw the accident was inevitable,
threw her from the stage, intending
that she should strike in some hr boughs
that lay at the side of the mad; hut he
miscalculated the speed and the child
was thrown against a rocky bank. It
is thought she cannot recover. Others
are sutl'criug from cuts and bruises.
