Jacksonville. Oregon
Sally Suds was at the tubs '
A washing otit the linen;.
In walked Mr. Jason Stubbs,
His mouth wide open grinninij.
Saith Jason Stubbs to Sally Sud
Fine morning for your washing!
Now Sally quickly a collar rubs,
And made a terrible splashing.
Saiih Bhe to Mr. Jason Stubbs
What are yon. wanting here?
She made a dive among the duds,
Poor Jason felt mighty querr.
I really dont know what I want
Unless it be yourself.
Jasons bosom began to pant.
Afraid she would him shelf.
She blushed awhile and then she spake
These words to Jason Stubbs,
Jasons heart began to quake) '
He fell down among the tubs,
And felt just then as if he could
Into a knot hole creep.
Whilst Sally in a serious mood,
Did at Jason slyly peep.
Says Jason to the lovely girl,
I've come for your coneenU
Nervously his thumbs did twirl,
With your answer I'm content.
Sally blushed and her crimson face,
With purest love did glow,
She says I'm sure tis no disgrace,
To have you for a beau;
I'll tell you now my heart is sought,
By some that's got the pelf.
But I'll not be either sold or bought,
For I really love yourself.
In storm and cloud you have been true,
And bore up as best you could;
Of rivals you've had not a few,
And some in a baffled mocd.
Then Sally blushed with sterling pride,
As she at Jason gazed,
And he with open mouth so wide,
Looked perfectly "amazed.
But Jason gently took her hand,
And kissed her many times;
And now they're joined in Hymens band,
And merry pealed the chimes.

"Don't put all your eggs iu one bas
ket" is all wrong. I tell you "put all
your eggs in one basket, and then
watch that basket," Look around you
and take notice; men who do that do
not often fail. It is easy to watch and
carry the one basket It is trying to
carry too many baskets that break
most of the eggs in this country. He
who carries three baskets must put one
on his head, which is apt to tumble and.
trip him up.
