The work f placing the cells will be commenced as goon as the brick woik is far enough completed. The county jail at Baker City, Or jegon caught fire last week and burned to the ground. There were six pris oners confined in the' jail, two for mur der and four for theft. Five were burned to death, and the sixth, Fred Wmkleman, the 18-year-old murderer is not expected to live.
